Student Suspended for Wearing NRA Shirt is Back in School

The fight continues. That's what the father of a Logan County middle school in West Virginia is vowing after his son was arrested and suspended. Was the child caught cheating? Was he vandalizing school property? Was he fighting? Nope... none of the above. The student's "offense" was wearing an NRA shirt to school.
As reported by WOWK TV 13, the issue occurred late last week when the boy, Jared Marcum, wore an NRA shirt with the image of a gun on it. One of Jared's teachers told Jared he would have to take off the shirt, but Jared refused. He was then arrested and told not to come back to school the next day.
Jared's father Allen Lardieri says he's angry he had to rush from work to pick his son up from jail over something he says was blown way out of proportion.
"I don't' see how anybody would have an issue with a hunting rifle and NRA put on a t-shirt, especially when policy doesn't forbid it," Lardieri said.
The Logan County School District's dress code policy prohibits clothing that displays profanity, violence, discriminatory messages and more but nowhere in the document does it say anything about gun images.
The news report says it all. First, there is the whole idea that liberals find firearms somehow "offensive." The fact that they are used EVERYDAY for sport, hunting, self defense, and law enforcement doesn't matter to them. Then, there is the fact that the dress code doesn't say anything about gun images. Finally, there is irony that outside the school is the statue of a soldier carrying a gun and a grenade!
In a follow-up story, Fox News reports that the school says that Jared was arrested for "disrupting the educational process."
Logan police arrested Marcum at the school last Thursday after he refused a teacher's order to remove the shirt. White says prosecutors are reviewing the case to determine whether to file charges.
Marcum has said that he was arrested on charges of disrupting an educational process and obstructing an officer, though White said Monday that the Logan County prosecutor's office is reviewing the case to decide whether to proceed.
The world has truly gone crazy. What are they going to do next? Ship away the statue, because the soldier is carrying a gun? The real problem is that those on the left have taken over our schools at every level, and until we change that, we are in big trouble.
