If Obama decides to cut out all cell phones and landlines, or takes control of the Internet, how would we communicate with each other? The only thing I have heard is CB radios, which are outside of the norm. I may be jumping way ahead of myself, but I keep thinking that O is already talking about gun control (and then we couldn't protect ourselves, then he takes away the other things that we need (communication) and we would be at his mercy. That's the last thing we need. Any ideas?

not sure if it would come to that. Not for a while. Obama can't yet take complete control of everything yet. It is true that he has been allowed by congress to usurp power that is not rightfully his via massive amounts of executive orders. However, he lacks one crucial thing that dictators have...Military support. Without that, he can't completely seize control. Unless he has some secret army or something, he has no army of his own. Because as of right now, the military opinion of Obama is very VERY low. In order for Obama to really be able to turn from closet commie tyrant to full blown Dictator of the United States of America and taking people's firearms and internet and cell phone communications, he would have to have a much more loyal military than what he does right now. I don't see it happening in the next four years. But what I do see, is the possibility of an economic collapse. We did not avoid the fiscal cliff, you know. It's still there. It's steeper now. We just postponed plunging off of it. When we finally do the plunge off that higher, steeper cliff, Obama can then say, "Look, I told you capitalism doesn't work." He can then slide in and be the savior, telling everyone that the Government needs to take care of everyone, even though it was the big government that caused the collapse in the first place. That is when we REALLY need to watch out for our "democracy" turning into a dictatorship. Nonetheless, it's scary times ahead.

I don't know if he has support of the military (I hope he doesn't), but he is the Commander in Chief of the Military. It's going to take people with cojones to go against orders of their Commander in Chief. From what I have read, he is making sure that he is getting people in the military who will fire on Americans. I can't imagine it, having lived here for over half a century, and it's always been such a safe place to live. Apparently the government has ordered bullets and weapons that he doesn't want the average Americans to have. Makes you want to dig a bunker. (sigh) My opinion is that he wants to be a dictator. He is already a millionaire. He wants to kill off the fishing and hunting so we are at the mercy of the government for food. He wants the economy to crash, (he doesn't care, because he has enough money to last forever, AND security for life). Once we are dependent, then we have no choice but to give in. I don't think that's going to happen. I see a revolution in this country.
